With clever ideas out of the crisis

For nearly ten years already the two companies Heidelberg and CITO have worked closely together in the area of Inline Finishing. In the frame of the cooperation CITO delivers the RSP Inline Finishing System for creasing, cutting and perforating in offset printing machines. When selling machines in Germany, Heidelberg is offering that system to its customers as an auxiliary service. This way more than 3,000 customers worldwide have been furnished with RSP Inline Finishing Systems from CITO in the meantime.

The system offers the customers an additional benefit which today goes beyond nearly every other advantage: saving of time. Jobs can already be processed in one of the printing or coating units following printing. Here especially cut-outs and tear-off perforations are ideal tasks for the modern printer. A further advantage is that value creation is maintained in the own company. So jobs need not be given out for further processing any longer. By use of the RSP Inline Finishing System production time can be saved effectively compared with further processing on the platen or cylinder.

Bernd Gutermuth from printers Gutermuth in Grünhainichen says hereto: „We already have in use on our SM 52 from Heidelberg the RSP Inline Finishing System since many years. During the negotiations about a purchase of an RL 75 5+L we were offered the RSP from our Heidelberg contact person. The functionality and the multi-purpose application options have persuaded us immediately. The gains regarding productivity and value creation are enormous. In the end that has also affected our decision in favour of Heidelberg.“
