CITO on tour; today: India and Sri Lanka

CITO-SYSTEM GmbH is represented in nearly all countries of the world today through a worldwide dense net of dealers. So it goes without saying that our application technicians are in contact also with our partners on other continents. By joint seminars and trainings we thus learn something about changing requirements and can at the same time further impart our knowledge.

Therefore our application technician Michael Zelingr was on tour for customer visits in Sri Lanka and India for nine days in September. Together with our local partners customers in Hyderabad, Chennai and Colombo were visited.

There were discussed terms of reference and challenges around the whole packaging production. Of course the importance of the correct choice of creasing parameters and their influence on the future quality of the creasing could be underlined there. It became also particularly clear there what a decisive influence the quality of the creasing has on the further processing of the packaging on the folding box gluing machine. Partially the running performance could be increased considerably by live demonstrations on the machines.

But of course we, too, are again and again learning on such trips. It becomes evident that also our Asian partners make materially greater demands on the quality of their products and are therefore willing to invest in the qualification of their employees.

The next international customer visits of our application technicians will be in Egypt, Austria and Belgium still this year.
