CITO on its Travels. Today – Egypt

Our cutting expert Roman Kaschitz visited our long-time distributor, the Elshrouk Company at their offices in Cairo and Alexandria on 01 - 07 April. The Company received the "CITO Agency of the year 2008/2009" award and was honoured for its extraordinary commitment to the industry.

A customer visit was also part of the program. We are well aware of the importance of the Egyptian market even during difficult times. Our visit was seen as a gesture of solidarity and was widely appreciated by our partners and their customers.

Our other intention was to introduce our improved creasing matrix CITO BASIC to the customers directly. Both the increased durability and the improvement to the adhesive tape generated positive customer feedback. With these advantages CITO BASIC distinguishes itself favourably from competing products in the same target group.

Since our distributor operates beyond its own borders in the countries of North Africa and the Middle East, those markets responsible for accelerating the development of the CITO BASIC creasing strip are being targeted first.

The development of improved product information as well as the tips and tricks provided by our technical sales staff during the application of correct creasing parameters or special cutting knives attracted strong customer interest. Among other things, these tips help to optimise setup times and machine which also improves the packaging quality.

After an experience-filled week we would like to extend our special thanks to our regional partner the Elshrouk Co. for the warm welcome and the fantastic organisation. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Egypt.
