RSP System 2.0 – Better. Quicker. More reliable.

We are very pleased to be able to present the next generation of RSP system at drupa 2012: our RSP System 2.0. This further development will gradually replace the existing well-known RSP version, depending on availability for the different machine types.

With an innovative and patented locking hinge we have implemented the following improvements to our RSP System 2.0:

• We have reduced the number of wearing parts (i.e. fewer screws).
  This means you benefit from a significant improvement in quality and process reliability.
• Makeready time for the RSP System on the printing press is minimised.
  The RSP system thereby increases your operating efficiency and profit.
• You have the facility to fix the RSP direct fit flexible die onto the base plate, as well as a grid sheet. This gives you the option of register adjustment (in any direction up to 1.5mm) and thus best reproduction of shapes with maximum accuracy.

These innovations are legally protected by two patent applications.

The first base plate for the RSP System 2.0 which will fit the printing unit of the Heidelberg SM 52 printing press will already be available in January 2012. The next stage will see these becoming available for the printing units of the current large format Heidelberg printing press models (SM 102 DU, CD 102 DU, CX 102 DU, XL 105 DU). Plans for developing base plates for other machines such as Manroland 700 DU, HD GTO 52 DK and HD SM 74 DU) are already underway.
