drupa 2016 Gleanings from the CITO stand

drupa in Düsseldorf remains one of the leading trade shows for the printing and packaging industry. Of course the success or failure of attending a trade show cannot be measured in the short-term. CITO confirms that the exhibition targets in terms of number of contacts and concrete enquiries were achieved. In particular the internationality of visitors was unrivalled, the CITO stand welcomed visitors from 108 nations over the exhibition’s 10 days. Traffic to the exhibition stand remained at a constant high especially in the first 8 days with numbers dwindling in the last two days, which has also been the case in the past.

The trade show innovations aroused special interest. The CITO ULTIMATE creasing system presented as the first of its kind in the world in combination with the new AC 3 cutter was met with great approval. First orders were even placed at the trade show. The rationalisation effect of the new cutting device with automatic chamfering feature impressed the visitors. In the diecutting area the self-adhesive rubber profiles and coded creasing rules were the crowd pullers. The measuring device from the ProcessLine series drummed up interest across the industry. Jürgen Marien, owner-partner of CITO, on his company’s attendance at the trade show:

“2016 was my 9th drupa as an exhibitor; in my opinion visitors are now significantly more competent and head specifically for certain exhibition stands. This then leads to very definite enquiries; these enquiries can then be effectively processed accordingly. I would like to thank in particular our dedicated trade show team. It was clear to me that visitors to the CITO stand felt very much at ease.”
