RSP Creasing Rubbers

Creasing rubbers are the optimum complement to the RSP Offset Creasing Matrix.

RSP Creasing Rubbers can be placed on the impression cylinder easily and quickly. Positioning corrections are therefore easier to make. They are ideally suitable for multiple creasing, as the distance between the creases can be freely selected.

Available as a plate or strip.

Rillgummi 0,6 mm

RSP Creasing Rubber is now available in two different heights 0.46 mm and 0.60 mm. The 0.60 mm RSP Creasing Rubber ensures a very good creasing result, especially for higher grammages or for creased products without cutting and perforation in the printing machine.

RSP Creasing Plates

RSP Creasing Plates are suitable for more complex creases. Whenever several creases meet, the creasing plate can be easily glued onto the impression cylinder as a plate. Thus, for example, SOS block bottom bags can be produced easily.

Technical info

RSP Inline Finishing offers you several options for integrating creasing into sheet fed printing. Creasing of printing substrates at the same time with perforations or impressions is also possible. Regardless of whether you call it creasing, grooving or pre-folding: it is always important to achieve adequate ply separation of the board or paper to prevent crease breaking during folding.

We have compared the creasing of our different creasing matrices using the CITO CREASY measuring device for you. The CITO CREASY checks the geometry and characteristics of the creasing and its dimensions.

In the comparison of the 3 options it becomes clear that an optically perfect creasing fold is achieved with the ORS creasing matrix and the characteristics are the strongest. The creasing with the creasing plate and creasing rubber meet the requirements for optimum further processing.

The creasing plate and creasing rubber are particularly suitable for double and multiple creasing, or for more complex forms.

RSP Creasing Rubber – the alternative to the conventional offset creasing matrix

Müller-DitzenCompany: Müller Ditzen AG
Issued by: Norbert Nowacki, Head of Production

We have been using the RSP System since 2008 for creasing, diecutting and perforating operations.

We frequently use RSP for jobs where creasing directly on the printing press is required.

Until now, the only options available to us were offset creasing matrices. The RSP creasing rubber provides a really good alternative, especially where a large number of creases are located close together.

The creasing result is slightly lighter, but perfectly adequate for our needs and those of our customers. We are impressed by how quick and easy it is to place on the impression cylinder and how straightforward it is to make positioning corrections.

There is little doubt that we will be using the RSP creasing rubber frequently in the future.
