Jürgen Mariën and Christian Ernst

On Friday, 31 March 2023, Jürgen Mariën retired from his post as CEO of CITO‑SYSTEM GmbH after a long period of service. On this occasion, he invited all employees to a small farewell party.

Jürgen Mariën worked for the company for 41 years and made a major contribution to its development – and therefore to its current position as one of the global players in the industry. In the process, he created a worldwide network of partners and representatives, who valued and respected him highly.

In the course of these decades, the name “CITO” established itself as a benchmark for quality, know-how, and service and as a globally well-known and respected brand.

The CEO thanked the entire team for their support, as a company can only be successful with the commitment of each and every employee. He emphasised that he was leaving the company in the best hands and that it was excellently positioned for the future. He has been preparing his succession for years, gradually handing over responsibility and decisions to his successors.

The current management team consists of the joint Managing Directors Thomas Gerner and Oliver Kellermann and Authorised Representative René Seick. The skills and experience of this team complement each other ideally, and together they form a high-performance company management. Thomas Gerner, CFO, continues to be responsible for Finance and Organisation; Oliver Kellermann, CSO, is in charge of Sales and R&D. René Seick is responsible for Production.

Thomas Gerner has already been a member of the Management Board since May 2020, where he was able to demonstrate his leadership qualities. Oliver Kellermann has been with the company since 1996. During this time, he has had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in many areas of the company and brings the best credentials for his new task and all the responsibilities it entails. The management trio also takes the helm at the GROUP companies. A close and trusting cooperation already exists here for a long time.

Oliver Kellermann

Oliver Kellermann puts it in a nutshell:

"We are motivated and looking forward to our new task, for which we are very well prepared. We still have a lot to do and will achieve our goals together with all our fellow CITOists.”

The entire team would like to express their sincere thanks to Jürgen Mariën for his reliable and future-oriented leadership and looks forward to continuing to work together with the management team. The management puts its trust in the great commitment of the employees. Together, we go full speed ahead into the future!
